Relay Week!

Quote of the Week: “It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." - J. K. Rowling

Panthers Making us Proud!

On Thursday, our Boys' soccer team defeated a strong BHL team. By virtue of this win, our boys closed out the regular season in 1st place!

This past Friday, our very own Zach Holland, 8th grade student, competed in the National Geographic Bee in Milledgeville at Georgia College and State University. In a very tough competition, Zach placed third overall in the state. We are so proud of him!

Saturday evening, our Powerful, Ambitious, Winning, Steppers competed in the annual Youth Step Show. The precision and spirit with which they performed was outstanding! These young ladies and their coaches, Ms. McDavid and Mr. Lawrence, put in many hours of hard work to create a spectacular performance. The team placed third, and won the People's Choice Award. Congratulations, ladies!!

Relay for Life this Friday

Relay for Life is an all-night fundraiser. It's purpose to raise money as well as awareness!!! We all know folks who cancer has touched. To read about the history of relay--go to http://www.relayforlife.org. Opening ceremony is at 7:00 PM.

Funds will be collected through June for this year's Relay so we will do a few fundraisers with the students throughout April instead of just this week!!! The easy way to help??? Post info on your Facebook and Twitter or send friends an email. Ask them to go to http://www.relayforlife.org/---to get involved and donate to a team--Hilsman Black Panthers!!!

Hilsman World's Fair

Saturday, April 26th, we will hold the first ever Hilsman World's Fair! This event will be from 11 AM until 1:00 PM, and will be a way to have fun, fellowship, and share the cultural diversity that exists here at Hilsman. It promises to be a wonderful family event. We want everyone who can to participate and make this a wonderful "near year-end" celebration for the entire school. It promises to be fun, rain or shine!

Please come and share something interesting about your culture, religion, etc. Suggestions include crafts, songs, stories, dance, instruments, sports, and/or food samples. All are welcome to join us for this unique experience. Complete the online form found here, or pick up a hard copy and leave it in the front office. Please let us know if you can attend by Friday, April 11th.
